What's On My Nails Right Now? Sinful Colors!

I've been in a Sinful Colors mood! I'm hoping to pick up a few more tomorrow to add to the collection.

So this week, I've been wearing one coat of Night at the Barbardos, which is the the more blue shade in the left, under two coats of Let Me Go. It really is a unique combo!

And as a side note, I won another Versatile Blogger Award from Inkblots at the blog Inky the Hampster Mommy. Thank you!

I hit the clearance jackpot! Here's what I bought:

-Two more Sally Hansen nail strips, one in yellow and the other in lime green ($1.14 each after my coupon)
-Sinful Colors nail polish ($0.49)
-Rimmel London Match Perfection Concealer ($0.32 after my coupon)
-Rimmel London Lipstick in Heather Shimmer (0.24 after my coupon)

At my Meijer there were a ton of Essie and Sally Hansen Salon Manicure polishes, but I'm waiting for a few more weeks for them to go down another dollar or two!

Inspired by the Hunger Games: District 12 Nails

China Glaze is coming out with their Hunger Games collection soon, so I did some "inspired by" nails! I started with District 12 because I was feeling a little dark and depressive this week, but I'm going to be doing nails inspired by each district over the next couple of weeks!

The polishes I used from left to right: Kaleidoscope by Wet n Wild, Navy by L.A. Girl, Black Creme by Wet n Wild, and the clear top coat by Wet n Wild.

I modeled my nails after the actual District 12 polish by China Glaze. I started off with the navy polish and when that dried, I went over it with the black creme to give my base color a black, but not quite black color. Then I topped it off with one coat of the multi-color silver glitter polish, and the top coat! This look is incredible in the sunlight because the base is dark, but not quite black, and the glitter are sparkling all different colors and sizes!

Feeling the Winter Blues-Makeup of the Day

I was feeling the winter blues today, so I pulled out my more bronzey, sunny products!

-CoverGirl Eye Enhancers single in Golden Sunrise
-Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze
-Revlon Creme Illuminance Quad in Sea Shells
-NYC Cream Blush Stick in Plaza Pink
-ELF Beauty School Blush Palette

The CG eyeshadow is really beautiful when put over Bad to the Bronze-it turns a golden color with is very summer-like!

I used the golden pink from the Illuminance Quad to highlight-because it's not a stark white highlight, but a gentle golden sheen.

The swatches are of Golden Sunrise over the Color Tattoo, the golden pink from the Illuminance Quad, the pink blush stick, and the bronzer from the elf Blush Palette!

Valentine's Day Nails!

I went simple and subtle this year, since I wore such a loud pink (Uptown by NYC Color) last week.

I used Mulberry Street by NYC Color, Glass Pink by Sinful Colors, and the clear top coat by Wet n Wild.

I painted two layers of Mulberry Street, which has a really subtle shimmer to it, then painted one coat of Glass Pink, which has a beautiful pink shimmer through it.

I've gotten so many compliments on my nails because the shimmer is layered and so fine! Definitely a great, simple look!

Five Perfect Pink Polishes for Valentine's Day

I love a good pink nail polish! My favorite from above is Glass Pink because the golden shimmer is so fine and lovely!

These range from $0.99-$4.99 a piece, and can be found at any drugstore!

Makeup of the Day: For Brown Eyes!

& a great everyday, easy look!

I struggle a lot of the time to find a good purple eyeshadow that will make my eyes pop without overpowering my pale skin and make me look tired. So today I took another angle!

I started with the black cream liner from one of the Physicians Formula liner trios, which actually has shimmer and a slight purple base. I applied a thin line, getting gradually thicker towards the end. Then, before that could set, I applied some of my NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk to my whole lid, and used that and my elf Contour Brush to blend the liner and the pencil together to create a softer look and bring out the purple in the black.

I applied a thin line of Shimmering Onyx eyeshadow by CoverGirl, which is a shimmering black, and finished the look off with Maybelline Great Last Curved!

My brown eyes are usually pretty dull, but this look really made them look like chocolate!
